Milena ParentMilena is an Assistant Professor in the School of Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on organizing committees and stakeholders of major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, Pan American Games, the Jeux de la Francophonie, and FINA World Aquatics Championships. Her areas of expertise are organization theory and strategic management. She has published in the Journal of Sport Management, European Sport Management Quarterly, and the International Journal of Sport Finance. She co-authored the 2nd edition of Understanding sport organizations: The application of organization theory with Prof. Trevor Slack. Her research has been featured at various conferences, including the North American Society for Sport Management conference, the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada conference, and the Academy of Management conference. She has also been a keynote speaker at the 2nd World Congress in Sport Management.
